FAQ'S AT SHARON
1. What is the schedule for Sundays and Wednesdays at Sharon?

2. What is LEGACY?
We want to create a legacy mentality at Sharon, where we see ourselves as adults who pour their lives into the younger generations. We would do away with nursery schedules and the class mentality. People would no longer teach classes, which sounds like school, but instead would invest their lives into people, like Jesus did with His Twelve. We would then take everyone, newborn through 12th grade, and break them down into small groups of children and youth. We would then ask all of the adults to assume some ownership in at least one group of children or youth. Our prayer would be that the adults would walk with the kids through 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, and become people the kids grow to trust. Remember what we learned in Mark 10:13-16? Here is an example: Joe and Sharon Johnson and Bob and Betty Born would have eight 3rd graders that they would meet with on Sunday mornings. The couples could rotate, if they prefer, or they could have a couple as primary (who does it most Sundays) and the other couple would be back up. They would help when needed. They would talk with the kids, send them cards when they miss, and pray with/for them consistently. Another benefit is consistency. Did you know that last summer 12 families left Sharon and literally moved to other cities and states? This plan ensures that one couple would be there with the kids, as the population attending Sharon increases in mobility (many will be members of Sharon for a few years and then move to other places).
3. What is a LIFEGroup?
We took the fundamentals of Sunday School and small groups: Learning, Interceding (Praying), Fellowshiping, Evangelizing and formed LIFE, so that our groups know why they exist. They meet on our church campus as well as in people's homes. They meet on Sunday mornings as well as other days and times of the week. To participate in a LIFEGroup, simply express your interest on the decision card on the weekly worship guide provided in all worship services. Typically, it takes 1-2 weeks before you will be contacted by a LIFEGroup.
4. What do I need to wear to attend?
We are a "come as you are" church, with the goal of reaching the people that make up Henry County. In other words, most people wear what is suitable for that season. For example, in the summer, you will find guys in shorts and others in slacks, and for girls, you will find some in dresses, some in shorts, and others in slacks.
